ROUTE AND PROGRAMME OF THE TRIP

Day 1. ROMA / MILANO/ PISA/FLORENCE - SAN MINIATO

Arrival to Rome/ Milano Bergamo/Pisa or Florence airport. Trip to TUSCANY REGION, THE TOWN SAN MINIATO. Check-in at the hotel or countryside tourism homestead. Treating oneself on the occasion of the arrival: aperitif with drinks and various snacks (called stuzzichini in Italian). A walk in the town of San Miniato: a time to enjoy the town panorama from above with a glass of good Tuscany wine. Dinner in a traditional Tuscany restaurant. Accommodation at an authentic hotel or countryside tourism homestead in San Miniato.

Day 2. SAN MINIATO - PECCIOLI - LAJATICO - SIENA - SAN MINIATO

Breakfast. Time to try the real life in Tuscany! A trip to a CULINARY STUDIO IN THE HISTORICAL VILLAGE IN TUSCANY. The culinary studio is established in an authentic homestead in the countryside, four kilometers away from the town Peccioli, which impresses by the marvelous views of the hilly surroundings. A local cook will teach you how to cook traditional Tuscany and other Italian regions dishes, using fresh products. You will hear funny stories and unheard facts about the peculiarities of life in a village in Tuscany, as well as interesting information about the history and traditions of these areas. After these funny practical activities, you all will sit at a table, enjoy a glass of delicious local wine and the dishes prepared by the whole group. After the culinary course, we’re travelling to LAJATICO, THE HOMETOWN OF ANDREA BOCELLI, the most famous Italian tenor all over the world. We’re going to visit the magnificent Theatre of Silence (it. Teatro di Silenzio) in the open air, where the famous tenor gives concerts every year. After the excursion, the rest of the day will be devoted for body and soul pleasures. We’re going to a place near Siena famous for its THERMAL POOLS IN THE OPEN AIR. The soil in Tuscany is rich in various minerals useful for a person’s health and beauty. Ancient Romans knew how to use this and would build thermal bathing places. THERMOS are a place where people not only bathe but also communicate, and warm (37°C) water rich in various sulphates and carbonites relax the body and the soul. Day 3. SAN MINIATO - PISA - MONTEROSSO - VERNAZZA - CORNIGLIA - MANAROLA - RIOMAGGIORE - FLORENCE

Breakfast. After breakfast, we’re going to the colourful REGION OF LIGURIA. On the way, we’re having a stop at THE TOWN OF PISA, VISITING THE SQUARE OF MIRACLES and the legendary leaning Tower of Pisa. After arrival to Liguria, we’re having an excursion to the Five Lands (it. Cinque Terre), i.e. the five towns (Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore) in the Western Italy, the shores of which are washed by the Ligurian Sea. The colourful towns are joined by paths, railway tracks or ferry lines. You will be mesmerized by the views of the sea, beaches, steep rocks and terraces of grapes, lemon trees and olive trees. This tiny patch of land is special because of an extremely picturesque landscape, small bays, beautiful beaches and colourful small houses perched in the mountains. Cinque Terre, as well as all Italy, is rich in special gifts of nature, such as virgin olive oil, the famous Ligurian pesto and real Italian wine produced from the grapes growing in the mountain terraces; you could enjoy it during the trip in Cinque Terre. LUNCH IN A TYPICAL SMALL RESTAURANT where you’ll be introduced to the Ligurian cuisine: you will try FRESH FISH DISHES TYPICAL OF THIS REGION, LOCAL WINES, AND LIMONCINO, LEMON LIQUOR. After the excursion in Cinque Terre, a trip to Florence. Dinner in a traditional Tuscany restaurant and time to admire the panorama of Florence at night. Accommodation at an elegant hotel in Florence.

Day 4. FLORENCE - ROMA / MILANO/ PISA

Breakfast. Going for a walk – it is the best way to get to know the Renaissance HISTORICAL OLD TOWN OF FLORENCE. After breakfast you’re going to have an EXCURSION TO THE MOST INTERESTING OBJECTS OF THE CITY, including Basilica of the Holy Cross (Basilica di Santa Croce), the Square of the Holly Cross, the Square of Signoria, the old Medici Palace Palazo Vecchio, Dante Alighieri District, the Cathedral, Square of the Republic, the oldest pharmacy in Europe, the old bridge Ponte Vecchio and the yard of Uffizi Gallery. After the excursion – the end of the programme and the trip to Rome/Milano Bergamo/Pisa/Florence airport.
